If you know me and have worked with me these past few years, you know that I am a very avid fan and user of Wikispaces.  Although there are many reasons to use and love Wikispaces (check out Wiki eToolbox page for ideas), they have just released a new feature in educational wikis – Projects!

You now have the ability to create projects in your wikispace and set them as private or public. Then you can create different groups in the project and assign specific students to each group.  This is a very powerful tool for any type of collaborative project.  As the teacher, you get total control over everything and can change privacy settings as you see fit.  With this, you can feasibly have a wiki that parents/outside world can see but then also have private student work going on within the wiki that only the assigned students can see.  How cool is that?!

If you want to learn more, check out the Wikispaces announcement about it or watch the video tour.

If you want to jump in yourself, check out these great step-by-step directions.

If you want to try out creating a project and need help, just schedule an appointment and we’ll get started!
