Today YouTube.com launched a new channel designed specifically for teachers that provides tips on how teachers can use YouTube in the classroom.  Also new today is the YouTube Teachers Community, a mailing list, to allow educators to share their own tips and tricks.  Check it out at http://www.youtube.com/teachers

In addition to this great new feature, I’d be remiss not to mention http://www.youtube.com/edu which is a YouTube’s Education area in which educational videos from a variety of colleges and universities (including the Khan Academy) are categorized by subject-area.  What a great way to find YouTube content for your class without having to search and wade through a lot of inappropriate stuff to find what you need!

In the video below,  Chris Anderson, the founder of TED, talks about how YouTube is driving innovation and its impact on education.
